Time to Rally! Crowdsourcing blueprints of the future
I don’t know about you, but a lot of media at the moment feels like drowning in the “shit stuff.” We are submerged in failings, polarised shouting matches, and a general sense of “it’s all broken.”
Yes, it is hard right now. But I, for one, feel like we need a collective breath of fresh air. I’m done with just complaining about the system; I want to start crowdsourcing the blueprint for a better one.
We know what’s broken. We’ve diagnosed the problem to death. Now, let’s talk about what’s actually being built.
The Search for “The Win”
Somewhere out there, someone is getting it right. In fact, a lot of people are. 💡
I’m collecting stories of best practice for a new series on Therapy for a New Generation. Whether it’s a radical new policy or an ancient way of community healing that still works, I want to hear it.
Stories are powerful; we are built on a foundation of “did you hear what happened?” ... and that creates a new normal. If we talk about change enough, we stop being afraid of it.

The Ask: What’s Working in Education?
Upcoming, I’ll be looking for hope in healthcare, social care, and community policy. But this week, we are starting where I started: Education. If you have even a toe in the water of education, whether you’re a teacher, a parent, a student, a therapist, or the bus driver who sees the kids every morning, I need your help.
No complaints, please. We have enough of those. I am looking for the “wins” from primary, secondary, higher ed and home ed. Tell me about:
The Small Shifts: A ten-minute “check-in” that changed a classroom’s energy.
The Big Waves: Forest schools, teen starts at 10 am, or universities prioritising mental health over metrics.
The Creative Spark: Translating biology into pop song parodies or turning a playground into a sensory sanctuary.
Where have you seen inclusion that felt normal? Where have you seen progress that felt like joy rather than a statistic?

Why This Matters
Right now, education can feel like a battleground. But I know it still has the potential to give you that “warm fuzzy feeling” of a job well done, the electric spark of seeing a young person finally feel safe enough to learn.
Let’s stop staring at the cracks in the pavement and start looking at the people building the bridges. If we don’t document the hope, we’ll forget that it’s an option.
Leave a comment below, or if you prefer, message me directly. Tell me: What is one thing happening in education right now that actually makes you feel hopeful?
I can’t wait to explore this with you.
Until next time,
💛🌿 Helen
