Hi I’m Helen.

I have over 14 years experience as a therapist and 20 years experience working with young adults and families. My approach is relaxed and informal, working at your pace without the awkward silences. We can simply talk, or use creative and play based methods to explore your thoughts and feelings. There is no obligation to stay, you are not tied into any sessions and you remain in control.

Do I need counselling?

Clients choose to access counselling for many different reasons including; depression, relationship difficulties, obsessive thoughts, anger problems, self esteem, addictions, eating disorders, sexual abuse, domestic violence, bullying, self harm, suicidal thoughts, grief and loss, anxiety as well as many others, but it comes down to the fact they are not living their lives in the way they would choose and wish to make changes. Often people are coping to some extent, but simply living and not enjoying life. Counselling offers a safe space to talk, but also an opportunity to explore change.
