It’s been almost a year since I wrote a blog post! I can’t believe it.
I have been busy with clients and family life and whilst Branch hasn’t been forgotten (I have a notebook full of ideas and blog drafts, as well as selling ‘Emotions Cards’), it hasn’t been my priority. I need to make time!
I had a similar realisation recently with my diary. Journalling is important for me, I consider it self care and part of preserving memories. There’s lots of change in my life at the minute and I’m busy… but I can’t remember ever saying “oh look at all this time on my hands”. I decided I needed to make time. So I compromised, though I have a gorgeous diary and fountain pen I know I don’t have time to sit and write.
I use Evernote on my phone to journal at the minute. It’s not quite the same but it’s quick and easy. I make journal entries when I can: when I’m up in the night, while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil, in waiting rooms and also when I might have been watching mindless tv instead!
I’m applying the same principle to blogging and this blog comes to you whilst eating lunch 😉
